Thesaurus

The ADA-Thesaurus is a fundamental tool for the archive. Users can semantically explore and discover the ADA collection based on the keywords the artworks in the archive are tagged with. The thesaurus is represented in three modes: hierarchical, alphabetical, and as a graph.

Serendipity

Serendipity is an immersive application to experience and sort images of our archive content. It enables users to playfully recombine and arrange image content to find new and meaningful connections in artistic and scientific contexts.

Mnemosyne

Mnemosyne is a research environment including the extended Mirador viewer from the IIIF with special features for analysing media art and complex contemporary artworks. In addition it integrates our complimentary immersive application Serendipity. Firstly, it allows the user to view his/her collections of artworks gathered on ADA and form a workspace therewith. Secondly, the viewer from the IIIF makes it possible to include ressources from other repositories in the analysis and therefore enhance complex transmedia and transhistorical research.
