Paragens is a video installation with three environments: Clareira, Eye and Wall. The room in a dark blue is a like a data space full of electronic images, photographies, projections, reflected images. The visitors by they moving-around can get a lot of connexions reconfigurating the whole. Natural world scenes change on the lighted screens materializing the emptiness in ephemeral connexions.
Clareira is a curved and lighted environnment, in the back of the room where the emptiness is full of mutant figures. Large, inert, suspended in the time and the space photographies are frames of video images which pass on the seven TV sets and that our mind can not remind. Colours, slows, fasts, geometries and other effects simulate the world electronic genesis. It simulates the birth of the natural life. In the middle of the room the environment Eye is a lake which provide us to look at all the space. A large screen shows a dancing fire. The fire burns and reflects itself on the surface of the lake where it is born again. It is the oil baptism of the fire. When the participant walk they are near or distant the lake, they stop and during the displacements the images world changes. The memory of each participant process the data of the room. On the back of the room, between the two entrance doors, there is a window, where a display suggests the a ligthed landscape trough images without movements. The world is in pause by frames of the landscape. The frames are only the landscape image, without electronic effects, simulating the life of the real world outside the electronic landscape Paragens.
