Description
Intervention

For the temporary intervention 'Camouflage' the ten national flags attached to flagpoles at the bus parking lot on the Bieler Höhe were exchanged for monochrome quartz green banners. Not until they were approached did they appear to detach from the colour palette of mountains, alpine flora and Silvretta lake.
National flags represent states as political entities, symbolizing their sovereignty. 'Camouflage' neutralizes the territorial claims inherent in the exposition of flags by hiding them or collectivizing them in one colour.
At the lake and the wall, which are civilizing interventions, the work, which in its colour and its motion seems like a continuation of the lake, performs a symbolic incorporation of culture into nature.
