Description
Pupil is an album dedicated to the non-human animals that accompany us in life, to the distance, to the learning of a language that is not one's own, that babbles.
It is composed with different digital techniques that include but are not limited to pure data programming, the use of field recordings and free improvisation with electroacoustic interfaces.
It was produced by Wirtshaus Secrets, a fledgling independent record label that seeks to collect and distribute electronic and experimental music in Linz, Austria.
Many of the samples were recorded in Colombia, when I was no longer there, by people close to me. This gave an emotional character to the recordings. Emphasizing the phantasmagoric presence of a familiar place, which is imagined far away.
