Palette is a series of projected images of a coral as it moves through time on its own accord. It was produced through time-lapse photography at the Marine Biological Laboratory at Woods Hole, Massachusetts. Each time-lapse video is projected onto a color of the light spectrum comprising a rainbow. The colored rectangles were painted directly on the wall and served as screens for the projections. Although there is a single image projected, it is perceived differently by the viewer due to figure ground relationships. The colors range from red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.
