Description
Landslide, New Media Installation, variable size
Custom software, sandbox, pc, projector

Landslide consists of a sandbox and a real-time animation. The 'virtual map' is generated in real-time by software code and merge with the physical sculpted surface, creating a possible changeable topography. These landscapes are a synthesis between the code and the territory.

The work is a direct conceptual continuation of my other piece, Becoming, and is an attempt to create an infinity map that must be reproduced and reconstructed. This kind of real-time map generates unique moments rather then being a product of the past or a representation of a fixed geographical taxonomy.
