Description
PIXELROLLER
VARIOUS PROTOTYPES 2005-2010
PixelRollers do exactly what their name suggests. They are
performance tools for rapidly applying any pixel based graphics
(user-generated content from the internet, your phone, a dedicated
camera, etc) or text based content in one stroke onto a vast range
of surfaces; from walls to floors, from canvas to ceilings even
highways, grass or simply water on concrete. The different version
of PixelRoller all have in common that they work like a handheld
“printer” based around the simple ergonomics of a paint roller. They
allow their users to print digital images with their own hand quickly
and with absolutely unique results.
Designed as tools for creative self-expression, the
PixelRollers offer a compelling experience for both user and viewer.
PixelRoller is a project that continues to be developed into a
variety of different directions
