LART – Laboratory of Research in Art and TechnoScience – is located in Brasilia, where collaborative teams explore disruptive innovations, changes, and challenges in daily life. Discursive and theoretical questions inform transdisciplinary practices of "New Leonardos" that cross multiple sciences and pursue common themes and objects. One of the main contexts and content is creative technologies and innovations that address aesthetic, philosophical, and anthropological questions of daily life and contemporary art in our century. New ways of living and embodied cognition resulting from the experience of disruptive innovations foster dialogues of living systems and expanded existence, as well as manifestations of climate, health, and well-being. The role of the artist using creative technologies is shared with HCI experts, biomedical engineers and other teams of scientists, including experts such as Dr. Adson F. Rocha, Dr. Suelia Fleury Rosa, Dr. Cristiano Jacques at UnB and UNICAMP's HCI expert team, Dr. Ricardo da Silva Torres ( 2013 2019), and more recently with Dr. Cecilia Baranauskas' team studying "socio-active" systems as part of the UNICAMP/FAPESP project.
Prof. Dr. Diana Domingues is director and founder of LART.
