Aktionsforum Praterinsel was well-known amongst cultural circles of Munich and beyond.
Its cultural programme focused mainly on exhibitions of fine arts. The variety ranged from classical modern art, historical perspectives from the 1950s to contemporary art.The curatorial team sought to combine traditional materials and working processes with the new information media of the high-tech age.
Together with the so-called "established art", emerging artists were exhibited in the exhibition hall "Laboratorium."
