About

The Arslab exhibition, held every three years, has become one of the international events of the cultural program of the City of Turin. The growth of its importance is testified by the partnership with the Province and the Piedmont Region, and by the collaboration with the Ministry of University and Scientific and Technological Research. The artistic experimentation has been pursued by all those who have collaborated in the Arslab Project, crossing the boundaries of the various languages used (art, science and new-media) thanks to the interchange of metaphors and reference systems between the codes of these languages. All this could happen thanks to the iter, now almost decennial, that has seen ARSLAB grow and renew itself continuously. From the exhibition "ARSLAB 1 - Metodi ed Emozioni" held at the Mole Antonelliana of Turin (1992) to "ARSLAB 2 - I Sensi del Virtuale" at the Promotrice delle Belle Arti of Turin (1995); from the seminars "Intuizione artistica ed ambiente artificiale" and "La nuova realtà artificiale" at the Galleria Civica di Arte Moderna e Contemporanea of Turin (1993 and 1995) to end with "ARSLAB 3 - I Labirinti del corpo in gioco" at the LINGOTTO (1998-99).

The program of Arslab develops now - as in the past - a wide variety of initiatives, meetings, conferences, workshops, in order to continuously update the knowledge in the field of art, technoscience and new media, placing itself in close collaboration with CentroScienza and Extramuseum for the Science Center Project of the Province of Turin.
