The Blackest Spot was a five-projector room-sized interactive installation that explored the representation of crowds and the myriad reasons for public gatherings. Animated imagery, ambient crowd sounds, and fragments from well known speeches throughout history transformed the gallery space into an arena that placed the viewer in the role of audience and/or speaker. As viewers interacted with twelve triggers strategically placed on the floor, they were able to choreograph their own experience.
