In contrast to the tendency perceived in previous years, an increase in film entries and the trend towards longer, more complex contributions in the film area became noticeable in 1992. In addition to presenting the Russian filmmaker Vladimir Kobrin and the English artist Peter Greenaway, the international programme also included the multimedia installation "Ars Magna Lucis Et Umbrae" by filmmaker Fernando Birri. Against the backdrop of the disintegration of world views and ideologies, this installation presented both a historical review and an analysis of one’s own position.The special entitled "Extra Sense" explored extrasensory perception and telepathy, "D’Ghetto Eyes" broached the issue of cultural identity and current social problems in the USA.
