SonarSound Sao Paulo will be held in three of the city’s emblematic venues -Teatro Abril, Instituto Tomie Ohtake and Credicard Hall- and over three days and nights it will bring together Arto Lindsay, Jeff Mills, Laurent Garnier, Liars, Patife, Ángel Molina, Kid Koala, Four Tet, Hurtmold, Inumanos, Pan Sonic, Nego Moçambique, Prefuse 73, Matthew Dear y LCD Soundsystem, and many more. The Matthew Herbert Big Band will inaugurate the event on the night of September 8 at the Teatro Abril. Matthew Herbert will be appearing live accompanied by the 20 musicians with whom he recorded his album 'Goodbye Swingtime', an exercise in which jazz forms and traditions are mixed and reconstructed at the hands of Herbert with the collaboration of Arto Lindsay, Jamie Lidell and Dani Siciliano. The Instituto Tomie Ohtake will host SonarSound by day, with musical and extra musical activities from the 10th to the 12th of September. The programmed concerts on the main stages (Hall Stage and Village Stage) will also be accompanied by the following events: SonarCinema, the Sónar audiovisual area will be offering the programme of its 2004 edition; Sonar Image Exhibition, an exhibition on Sónar image campaigns since 1994; and Multimedia Sao Paulo, a forum hosting various installations by international and local artists. SonarSound by night will take place simultaneously on the Club and Park stages at Credicard Hall On September 10th and 11th, starting at 21:00. Two distinctly festive nights hosting a marathon of concerts and Dj sessions -Pan Sonic, Anderson Noise, Ricardo Villalobos, Chicks On Speed, Ladytron Dj’s, Metro Area, François K...-, backed with visuals by the Austrian artist Lia, the Venezuelans No-Domain and the Brazilians Bijari, FAQ, Alexiss, Palumbo and Embolex.
