Ben Rubin is a media artist based in New York City. In 1993 he founded EAR Studio and in 2007 Mark Hansen joined him as creative partner. He has a BSc in Computer Science from Brown University and received an MSc in Visual Studies from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Media Lab. Rubin taught at the Yale School of Art, where he was appointed critic in graphic design in 2004. He was awarded artistic residencies at the Banff Centre for the Arts in Canada and at the STEIM foundation in Holland.

2008 Newly commissioned works to debut at the Reina Sofia Museum in Madrid and at the Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco.
