ALE GUZZETTI
(Pier Natale Guzzetti, 1953, Milan, Italy)

He studied at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, Milan, and he took some University courses in electronic and computer music at the Polytechnic University of Milan and at the Calculate Sonology Center of the Univerity of Padova. He was Ph.D Researcher at the M-Node inside the Planetary Collegium, University of Plymouth , UK, at the Contemporary Research Center of Brera, Milan and at the CE.R.CO (Center for Research on the Anthropology and Epistemology of Complexity) University of Bergamo and at EUROA European Robotics Academy, Milan.
At this moment he is Professor in New Media at the Visual Art Faculty in the Decoration School and one of the coordinator of the CRAB the new Research Center Of Visual Culture Studies at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, Milan.


Since 1983 he has been working on the shape and electronic circuits of sound-emitting sculptures.
The sound sculptures have been shown in Italy, France, Germany, Holland, Finland, UK, Albania, Lebanon, Hong Kong, Canada, USA and Austria (Linz), where they were among the prize-distinguished (honorary mention) in the Interaktive Kunst section of the Prix Ars Electronica in 1991.
In Italy they were among the prize-winners in the Digital Art section of the Prix Museum of Modern Art - Gallarate in 1997 and in Aperto Vetro in the Venice Biennale of Art at the Palazzo Fortuny, in 1998.

The sound sculptures have been shown in Italy, France, Germany, Holland, Finland, UK, Albania, Lebanon, Hong Kong, Canada, USA and Austria (Linz), where they were among the prize-distinguished (honorary mention) in the Interaktive Kunst section of the Prix Ars Electronica in 1991.

He was among the 100 artists invited by the Victoria & Albert Museum in London to represent “The Museum in the New Millennium” in 1999, he also did exibitions with Nam June Paik in Milan in 2000 and in Vicenza in 2003.
The National Gallery in Prague acquired four of his works to destine to the new permanent collection of Modern and Contemporary Art in 2002.
Treasure Museum of S.Grato Cathedral, Aosta (Italy); Museen im Antonierhaus, Memmingen (Germany) in 2006; Jazz Festival, Ascona(Switzerland); Museum fur Sepulkralkultur, Kassel (Germany) in 2007 acquired some his works of sacral art.
