Alessio Chierico (Ph.D.) is an interdisciplinary artist, researcher and lecturer with a background in contemporary art, design theory and media studies.

Chierico is currently adjunct professor at Accademia di Belle Arti di Macerata (IT), he held the same position at the Accademia Costume e Moda in Rome (IT) and at the Interface Culture department of the Kunstuniversität Linz (AT). In this last institution he has also been awarded with the titles of Ph.D. and MA.

Chierico also had research and exchange activities at the Universitat Politècnica de València (ES) and IAMAS Institute of Advanced Media Art and Sciences in Ogaki (JP).

He regularly contributes to international exhibitions, conferences talks and writing academic publications and magazine articles.

In the last ten years, his works have been presented in relevant events and institutions, including: University of Cambridge (UK), Universidade de Lisboa (PT), NTAA/Update (Ghent, BE) Flux Factory (New York, US), Ars Electronica festival (Linz, AT), Museu Nacional de Arte Contemporânea (Lisbon, PT), MAXXI (Rome, IT), Computer Art Congress (Paris, FR), Roma Media Art Festival (Roma, IT), ArteLaguna prize (Venice, IT), Centro Luigi Pecci (Prato, IT), Darbast Platform (Tehran, IR), Victoria Art gallery (Bucharest, RO), AHHAA Science Centre and Aparaaditehas (Taru, EE) Speculum Artium (Trbovlje, SI).
