Michael Naimark is a media artist and researcher who often explores "place representation" and its impact on culture. He has served as faculty in the USC School of Cinematic Arts' Interactive Media Division (2004-09), the NYU Tisch School of the Arts' Interactive Telecommunications Program (2009-current), and the MIT Media Lab (2011-current); and the Board of Directors of ZERO1 San Jose, the Editorial Board of Leonardo, and the Scientific Council of the Boltzmann Institute for Media Arts Research in Linz; and has been a member of the Society for Visual Anthropology since 1984.
