Lavoslava Benčić is a creator in the field of culture from 1985. She have gained numerous experiences in ideological concepts, designs and implementation of media projects.

Lavoslava Benčić (Slo/Cro) is an intermedia artist, curator and educator.
She acquired pedagogical and andragogic knowledge at the Faculty of Education in Ljubljana and multimedia skills at the Institute and Academy for Multimedia in Ljubljana. She completed BA Media Project Management studies at Middlesex University in London, post-graduate studies of Graphic Design at the London College UCK and the MA at the School of Arts University of Nova Gorica, New media department.
At the Institute and Academy of Multimedia in Ljubljana she works as a qualified lecturer in the field of multimedia production.
She cooperates intensely with ČIPke, an initiative for women in the context of science, technology and media art in Ljubljana (Slovenia) and with Layer House BIEN DIY LAB in Kranj. She creates and manages new media workshops for adults and children. Since 2014 she facilitates workshops in Slovenia, Croatia, Italy and Serbia, (580+ participants).
Most of the workshops come out from intermedia art projects, which are based on electronic textiles, graphic sound, the reaction of sound to tactile stimuli, and generative sound landscapes that trigger light effects. Her soft circuits are designed from soft conductive or capacitive materials.
She has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in designing and producing media projects as a selfemployed artist. Due to the achievements in the field of intermedia art, media project management, design and pedagogy, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia ranks her among the authors crucial for Slovene culture.
She is a member of professional associations (ZDSLU, DLUL, HUIU). Her works have been exhibited / displayed / published 87 times in nineteen countries and awarded thirteen times.
